Whilst at The PortsWood, enjoy a meal or two at The Quarterdeck Restaurant  - which occupies a section of the Original Breakwater Prison. The Breakwater Convict Station was declared a military prison in 1882 allowing military offenders from ships and shore stations to be committed for hard labour, if they were convicted for civil disobedience. However, no prison was ever this comfortable, or served such wonderful food! The Quarterdeck Restaurant is a relaxed yet elegant venue, and is well known for its Cape Malay cuisine – which can be enjoyed at lunch or dinner.

In the morning you can choose your own selection of delights from the Breakfast Buffet. There is also a terrace venue, serving light snacks, and a Cocktail Bar, which is open from 11h00 to 23h00.
