Cape CadoganThe Cape Cadogan is a stately double-storeyed Georgian and Victorian building that dates back to the beginning of the 19th century. The public areas comprise a comfortable lounge with an open fireplace, a garden and pool area, and a library where you can relax and read or research your itinerary from the computer terminal provided for your convenience. With only 12 rooms (4 luxury, 8 standard), this boutique hotel offers both comfort, and personalised service. All rooms are en suite, and are furnished in an interesting blend of antique and modern. Accommodation is equipped with satellite TV, DVD, air-conditioning, safe, mini-bar (personalised), tea/ coffee making facilities, and ADSL internet access. In addition to the hotel, there are also a number of holiday apartments (self-catering) on offer, particularly useful for families, and within an easy walk of the hotel. You might also choose the Owners Villa, adjacent to the Hotel itself. The Villa includes an open plan lounge, dining area and full service modern kitchen. The Villa opens up onto an outdoor deck area where comfortable lounges lie around the private plunge pool. Privacy is paramount, and the kitchen is serviced by a private hatch which provides a link to the outside world and where one’s morning breakfast and paper gets delivered. The Villa’s bedroom suite is upstairs with an open plan bathroom perfect for those guests who are looking for comfort and simple lines. As the Cape Cadogan is positioned just off Capes Town’s bohemian hotspot, Kloof Street, there are several restaurants and eateries which you can visit. Everything from Mediterranean to classic French dishes, from Asian to steakhouse cooking, from health foods to bistros are all within walking distance. Breakfast is served daily at Cape Cadogan, and if you are staying in one of the apartments or in the Villa, breakfast is delivered for your convenience.
