The Ambassador, a luxury Hotel, boasting superb dining facilities, is located in Bantry Bay, on Cape Town’s Atlantic seaboard. It is therefore well positioned for visits to the Clifton beaches (within walking distance), Camps Bay, and the Waterfront.  In fact, the Ambassador Hotel is ideally situated to explore all the Cape has to offer.

Guests can enjoy spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean from the sea facing rooms whilst the standard rooms offer partial ocean views - three of the standard rooms also offer outdoor balconies. There is a choice of 68 elegantly appointed hotel rooms, and 29 contemporary-styled, fully-equipped and serviced executive suites (1 or 2 bedroom units are available) – which are separate from the main hotel.

The Executive suites are excellent for long-stays, or perhaps for a family. Full hotel services are available for guests booking the Executive Suites.  All suites have fully-fitted kitchens and are equipped with the necessary utensils for a ‘home away from home’ stay.  For in-room entertainment, each suite is fitted with a DVD player and a full library of DVD’s are available.

All Hotel and Suite rooms are equipped with king-size or twin beds, tea and coffee making facilities, fully stocked personal bars, electronic safes, satellite television, and complimentary wireless connection.

For those who love the sea, everyday at The Ambassador brings a different magic of blue skies, balmy seas and cascading surf. 

Fine dining: commanding a breathtaking position with panoramic views across the Atlantic Ocean, SALT is indeed, a sensory experience. Floor to ceiling glass windows stretch along the length of the restaurant, and unfold completely to reveal the fresh sea breeze and the sounds of the crashing waves below. While the Restaurant offers ambience, impeccable service and classic, contemporary décor, the menu offers fresh, modern South African cuisine with authentic ethnic influences. SALT serves simple, approachable, honest food in an easy-dining atmosphere, complemented by an extensive wine list of 70 wines, all of which are available by the glass.

SALT is open daily for lunch (12:00 - 15:00) and from 19:00 for dinner, with pre-dinner drinks served in the bar lounge. A tapas menu of small tasting portions of select dishes can be enjoyed in the late-afternoon and at sunset. Valet parking is offered to diners.
