Spier Estate Hotel
The Spier Estate Hotel is a place in which to relax and unwind. This 155-bedroom hotel is built on the banks of the Eerste River and enjoys panoramic views of the Helderberg Mountains and vineyards. The rooms are in a village-style setting with comfortable, spacious bedrooms grouped around six private courtyards and individual pools. All standard rooms are spacious at 60 square metres, and are beautifully, but simply appointed. Each room displays artworks from Spier’s own collection. The en suite bathrooms boast both a big bath, and a shower. Each room also has its own Satellite television, and a shaded outdoor patio where guests can unwind with a glass of wine. In addition there are four spacious suites of 110 square metres each, and are decorated with a simple but stylish country look. In spring and summer, doors open on to the gardens and entertainment areas, allowing guests the luxury of relaxing on huge wooden outdoor divans. Spier Estate Hotel also offers three exclusive villas, which are double-storied and have three bedrooms each as well as a spacious lounge and small kitchen. The rooms are comfortably appointed and simply decorated, while the spacious bathroom is pure luxury. The villas are perfect for a family, or small group of friends wanting to stay together. Guests can enjoy a number of activities at Spier, from exploring the collection of contemporary South African and African art to discovering Spier’s wines. Guests can wander around the extensive grounds, landscaped with indigenous plants, or ramble along the river banks, watching the bird life or simply enjoy the peace. In addition, there is a seasonal open-air theatre, swimming pools, a spa, children’s activities, craft exhibitions, wildlife encounters, horse riding and a nearby a golf course.
