You might want to cruises to Knysna Heads and Featherbed Nature Reserve, or journey on the Steam Train. The unique and most exciting feature of this area is the abundance in marine mammals in the bay which is flanked by two marine nature reserves and therefore rich in food for the resident whales and dolphins. From July to September, on an annual basis, Southern Right Whales migrate to this part of the Indian Ocean to calve, and there are organised boat trips all year round to see Bryde’s whales and dolphins. If golf is your game, Plettenberg offers 2 superb courses, and it is an easy drive to both Knysna and George - both towns offering world class courses.
