Klein Oliphants Hoek is located in a quiet position, near the heart of Franschhoek village, this guesthouse is an excellent place to relax after a day of wine tasting, mountain hiking or browsing in antique shops and galleries in the village.

There are only eight rooms, each of which is individually and beautifully decorated at Klein Oliphants Hoek. All rooms are en suite, and are air conditioned. Two rooms have private plunge/ splash pools; another has a private sundeck and Jacuzzi. Three of the rooms are in the loft, allowing for excellent views of the surrounding mountains. The rooms are airy and spacious, and the central lounge area is enhanced by a large open fire, and high ceilings.

Klein Oliphants Hoek was opened in 1888 as a mission station, and much of the charm of the original building has been kept, and the décor includes numerous antique pieces.

Klein Oliphants Hoek has a gem of a garden, and guests can enjoy breakfast on the terrace in this tranquil setting. Guests enjoy personalised and outstanding service and a sense of well-being. Here you can relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. Although Franschhoek is known for its wonderful restaurants, you might want to try the nearby (its in walking distance), Bouillabaisse, which is owned and run by Camil and Ingrid Haas, the owners of Klein Oliphants Hoek. This is a specialist seafood restaurant, combined with a Champagne and oyster bar, and seafood deli.
